EMILY NEWSOM In 2013, Emily purchased her first road bike, an aluminum Morgul Bismark found on Craigs list for $800. She went from learning how to shift, to winning nearly every race in Texas on the bike and to this day keeps the frame as a reminder that with hard work and perseverance, great things are possible. After giving birth to their daughter in 2015, Emily quickly returned to competition and in 2018 was signed by a professional women’s road team after catching the owners eye during a courageous solo at US nationals.  She went on to race around the world for five years, gaining valuable experience and knowledge. Since then, she has turned her focus to the booming off road scene in the US, focusing on prestigious series such as the Life Time Grand Prix, and the Belgian Waffle Ride Tripel Crown.

Emily’s coaching philosophy has been formed by her years as a professional cyclist while balancing the role of mother and wife. The human potential is enormous and with wisdom, support and encouragement, one’s goals can be reached. She also firmly believes that part of the end goal is the process itself. There is great joy and self-fulfillment to be found in the daily habit of bettering oneself. She is passionate about helping others find the same satisfaction that she has personally found in pursuing her dreams.
